I made this quote exactly one year ago today (September 12th) not realizing the impact it would have on my own life. Not everyone is going to support you. Not everyone is going to believe in you. Not everyone is going to understand. You have to fight for your dreams and it can come at a cost and it’s only you that can decide if it’s worth it. The struggle is VERY real, but so are my dreams. Today was an incredible reminder from this beautiful industry I literally fought to be a part of (not physicaally). My journey has been hard… very hard and I have lost friends because of it and been questioned by many as what it is I’m going after. But I have also gained new friends in the process and surrounded myself with people that believe in me and understand my dreams. I’m so grateful for those people because they remind me in my moments of darkness the light I am headed towards. My dreams are REAL. And I believe in them… that’s all that truly matters. #thestruggleisreal

Take care of yourself

You hear it all the time.. you can’t pour from an empty cup. Its true. We give of ourselves all day long to our clients, our business partners, our loved ones and our friends, but are you remembering to take time for yourself and recharge those batteries? Learn to rest, it’ll make the journey a little easier.

Here’s a few Steps to Success

Its not a race

Life is a journey and the only person you need to compete with, is yourself. Everyday you’ll be a little better. Everyday you’ll get a little closer. Make time to practice and remember you’re only as good as your last haircut… or blog post (so keep working at it!)

“A successful competition for me is always going out there and putting 100 percent into whatever I’m doing. It’s not always winning. People, I think, mistake that it’s just winning. Sometimes it could be, but for me, it’s hitting the best sets I can, gaining confidence, and having a good time and having fun.” – Simone Biles

Keep going and see what happens

Fail doesn’t have to mean being unsuccessful in achieving one’s goal. Yes, thats the dictionary definition.. but turn it around and look at it as First Attempt In Learning. If we all just gave up when someone told us we weren’t good enough, or questioned our journey, or said No, we wouldn’t have those front liners and ceiling crashers we have today. KEEP GOING! We believe in you.
